Apex Legends Shadowfall will not be back for Fight or Fright 2020, though it's been revamped as the Shadow Royale. Here's everything you need to know about Shadow Royale this year.

Revenant was yet to be officially playable for last year's event, but this year he takes the spotlight running the Fight or Fright limited time mode once again. Unlike the Solo Shadowfall mode, this year's Shadow Royale is based on trios. The twist is that you are resurrected as a Shadow Legend when you die.
Shadow Royale has some similarities to Shadowfall, but you'll still be competing against other squads instead of the survivors. The squad that outlasts all others will be the winner, as per traditional battle royale rules.
You'll be able to support your team with enhanced mobility and melee attacks until the rest of your team is eliminated. As a Shadow, you get infinite lives just like in Shadowfall.
You might also acquire a hell-beast as an additional squadmate. It also seems like Revenant is running some sort of shelter for abandoned creatures of the night.
It's not quite Shadowfall, but Shadow Royale should give you your fill of spooky Apex content this season. Fight or Fright 2020 runs from Oct. 22 to Nov. 3.
