‘Big Brother’: Orlando player in jeopardy

Is this the end of Fessy?

The Orlando player faces probable eviction Thursday (tonight) on “Big Brother.”

Fessy is a substitute teacher whose full name is Faysal Shafaat. He is up for ejection along with Haleigh, a college student from Village Mills, Texas.

He is also smitten with Haleigh in what has been an intriguing “showmance.” Her feelings have been harder to read, yet they have been dubbed “Fayleigh.”

This week, they’ve taken far different approaches to possible doom. She has lobbied other players to stay in the game while he has turned remote.

Her jockeying should help her stay at least another week. The episode airs at 9 p.m. on CBS (WKMG-Channel 6 locally).

Julie Chen’s post-eviction interview with either player will offer insights into their relationship.

Fessy and Haleigh have been charming and likable, but they haven’t been strategic in their play. They don’t understand the alliance driving action in the house, and they fumbled chances to take out the strongest players.

And Fessy may find trouble outside the house. The website Soap Dirt reports that internet trolls united to hurt his Fessy Fitness app.

This season’s mastermind is Tyler, a lifeguard from Rossford, Ohio. Crafty and a good actor, he is likely to be standing at the end. His strongest competition comes from Kaycee, a pro football player with the San Diego Surge, and Angela, a fitness model from Hilton Head, S.C.

The other remaining players are characters: Sam, the chatty welder; Brett, the hunky cyber security engineer; and JC, the diminutive dancer from Miami who supplies comedy relief.

The casting team came up with memorable players who have been evicted: Swaggy, Rockstar, Kaitlyn and Bayleigh. They offered vivid reminders why it’s so wonderful to live alone.

The show will name its winner Sept. 26.
