Brian Lizer was well known in his community as an individual of great physical strength and character. An avid kayaker and strong swimmer, he spent much of his free time outdoors, engaging with nature. Unfortunately on August 23rd his kayak overturned while out kayaking near Knik Glacier with the intention of retrieving an airboat which had drifted away en route – leading him down an unexpectedly tragic path that ended on August 27th near Wolf Point by a private pilot following four days of search efforts from friends, family, and authorities.
