Cynthia was born in Brooklyn, New York. But by the time she was one year old, her parents decided to move to Dallas, Texas.
Her parents had immigrated to the USA from Ecuador for a better tomorrow. They first met in New York and started their family there.
In Dallas, Cynthia grew alongside her two sisters – younger sister, Vanessa and older sister, Natalie.
The girls’ parents instilled in them a great sense of pride that they were Americans, but also taught them never to forgot their Hispanic heritage.

In September 2010, Cynthia married her long-time partner, residential architect Jeremy.
She refers to Jeremy as ‘Captain Awesome’ and has said that he makes her life so much easier by just being himself.
A year after the wedding, the couple discovered that Cynthia was pregnant. They then received the surprise of a lifetime when they discovered they were going to have twins.
Cynthia carried her twins to a full 35 weeks of pregnancy, which is considered rare in multiple child pregnancies & delivered little Simon and Karina in 2012 through natural, drug-free birth.
She has praised her husband for staying by her side throughout the birth and also for being a stay-at-home dad following the birth of their twins.
In late 2019, Izaguirre & her partner added to their family by adopting their third child from foster care from Child Protective Services.

After doing various freelance journalism roles, Cynthia landed her first big role as a co-anchor for an ABC affiliate in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Though she loved her role there and learned a lot from it, Albuquerque never quite felt like home.
After eight years in that role, in January 2008, she accepted the role of co-anchor for News 8, which gave her the ability to move home to Dallas.
She appears on the News 8 Daybreak program every weekday at 5 pm and 10 pm.
In September 2011, she began work as the executive producer for Channel 8’s Wednesday’s Child Report. The show aimed to bring awareness towards neglected & abused children, as well as aid in finding their forever homes. Cynthia Izaguirre Illness / Sick : In November 2018, Cynthia adopted her 3rd child. She took a week off from the office to remove cysts from her ovaries, but it turned out to be a full-blown hysterectomy surgery. To recover from this surgery, Cynthia had to rest for 2 months.
In 2010, Cynthia had a minor incident with her nose. Since there was no sensor at her home to open the garage door, she manually hit the switch but couldn’t reach a car at the time. The garage door smashed her nose. Fortunately, the nose was intact, but she developed a long cut. Doctors didn’t stitch the nose because it would leave a big scar behind. The doctor advised her to not apply any makeup on the scar for a couple of days.
