Nekoda is an actress as well as a dancer. She began dancing at two years old and received early lessons at Lisa Naves Dance Company. She later enrolled at the Toronto School of Circus Acts.

As a dancer, Nekoda has won several awards and has gotten the opportunity to perform with the likes of Polish professional ballroom dancer Edyta Sliwinska.

She was also interested in acting and in 2014, Nekoda auditioned and landed a role as Luisa in the family drama ‘An American Girl: Isabelle Dances Into the Spotlight.
