He teamed up with Glen Perkins, LaTroy Hawkins, Roy Smalley, and Justin Morneau, for the Minnesota Twins television broadcasts.  His longtime broadcast partner is Bert Blyleven. Before his broadcasting career, he worked for KCLD (St. Cloud) as a Disc Jockey.

His nickname was “Duke in the Dark”. He began his broadcasting games in 1983 for the Twins for Spectrum Sports.
