With the release of the Last Laugh Bundle trailer, Fortnite fans may have something more explosive to prepare for more than the debut of the Joker, Poison Ivy and Midas Rex outfits—the return of C4s.
Epic Games announced The Last Laugh Bundle back in August. Three months later, the Nov. 17 release date of $29.99 set is nearly here, sparking leaks in anticipation of the iconic villain's battle royale island landing.

While the 11-item DC package is set to drop in the middle of the Marvel-themed Chapter 2 Season 4, the oddest detail from the trailer is the emphasis of the Joker's C4s.
A utility item whose potential existence in the game remains debated among the polarized community, remote explosives were first added to Fortnite's loot pool in Season 3 of Chapter 1.
In 2018, Fortnite was dominated by grenade launchers, rocket launchers, guided missiles, clingers, miniguns and P90s. Perhaps most dangerous of all however, were the remote explosives.
Despite multiple nerfs to the C4s since their release, the potential of the remote explosives to drastically decide fights is the reason they were vaulted one chapter later.
Until Epic Games makes an official announcement on C4s, it will be interesting to see if the remote explosives sighting in this trailer was no joke.
