The Galleria mall is getting an H&M store.
The mall at 2414 E. Sunrise Blvd. in Fort Lauderdale announced Tuesday that an H&M store is slated to open at the center by spring 2016.
H&M is known for its selection of apparel, footwear and accessories for men, women and children. The Swedish retailer was founded in 1947 and has built a reputation for affordable and trendy outfits.
Mark Trouba, general manager at the Galleria, said H&M’s arrival will strengthen the mall’s appeal to locals and tourists.
The 28,000-square-foot shop is set to open on the east side of the mall and employ about 30 people.
H&M has 23 other stores in Florida, including locations in Wellington, Pembroke Pines and Aventura.
