Austin’s iconic springfed pool is an absolute must any time of year, even if it's too cold to swim (though regulars swim here year round!). It's located inside Zilker Park, which offers great views of the skyline and Town Lake as well.

This hidden gem, located on the UT campus (but accessible to all), is one of artist James Turrell's colorful installations which plays off the changing natural backdrop of the sky. It’s best viewed at sunrise and sunset.
There aren't many places left to see real blues shows but this is definitely one of them. Make sure you try and catch 90-something year old Ms. Lavelle White grace the stage for one of her monthly performances.
