How to Defeat Rufus Shinra and Darkstar in Final Fantasy VII Remake
Rufus will sic his dog Darkstar on you, so the fight is technically two on one. When the fight begins, focus dealing with Darkstar. You can dispatch the hound easily by using the Punisher counter against its Whirlwhip. This will give Darkstar pressure, and then you can get some hits in. Watch out for Rufus's attacks, as he will coordinate with Darkstar.
When Darkstar is gone, you can start on Rufus. He'll counter most of your attacks, but there is one window when he is vulnerable: as he reloads his guns. Block his Guns Akimbo attack and dodge his Bright Lights until you find your opening. There will be a big red sign above Rufus's head when he reloads.
After you defeat him, he'll make an escape on a chopper.
