Fish Wand Animal Crossing: How to Unlock the Fish Wand
To unlock the Fish Wand, you must first enter the Fishing Tournament hosted by CJ in the Plaza. He'll explain the rules to you, but the premise of the tournament is to catch as many fish as you can in three minutes. You are allowed to use Fish Bait, but you're limited to the given time constraint.
Your first entry is free, but after that, it's 500 bells. Whatever fish you catch will be automatically transferred to the box next to him and can be sold in the future for extra Bells.
Every fish you catch will give you points. These points can be exchanged for a range of Fishing Tournament rewards (in this case, the Fish Wand), which go for ten points each. Here is a breakdown of points:

- 2 fish caught 2 points
- 3 fish caught 5 points
- 4 fish caught 6 points
- 5 fish caught 7 points
- 6 fish caught 8 points
- 7 fish caught 9 points
