Once wrongfully accused of a crime, Amy Ballon is on a mission to uphold justice through her Raising Awareness for the Innocent initiative. The author recently hosted a fundraiser at the Lobster Bar Sea Grille in Fort Lauderdale, raising nearly $5,000 to support Innocence Project of Florida.
Guests enjoyed cocktails, chef-selected appetizers and a raffle as well as speeches by Ballon and by Kelleigh Helm, the development assistant at the Innocence Project. Ballon also signed copies of her book “Fabulous to Framed” during the event.
