Matt Mercer, the voice of Overwatch's McCree, had an inspiring message for a fan during a meet up. Mercer signed the fan's book and wrote:
The Reddit user who shared the experience wrote, "I was lucky enough to snag an autograph from him this past Friday at a local convention, and I have a little Overwatch playbook I keep around to jot down individual hero notes/tips/tricks in. I asked him to write something encouraging on one of the opening pages so I can read it before heading into comp, and he was kind enough to write the following." The fan also wrote that Mercer voiced the message for the fan.
Overwatch's voice actors are well known for their generous acts with fans and using their voice acting talent to create content. Recently, Gaku Space, the voice of Genji, jokingly called a fan's friend boosted at his request. Sombra's voice actor, who brings many of the Overwatch voice actors together, celebrated reaching 100,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel.
