She served as a weekend meteorologist at WTOK, an ABC affiliate in Meridian, during her time in Mississippi. She went to the Great Plains to storm chase while at WTOK, and she saw firsthand the devastation caused by the 2011 Joplin, Mo., EF-5 tornado, which was the 7th deadliest tornado on record.
Megan moved to Medford, Oregon, after finishing her master’s degree, where she joined the ABC team at KDRV as the morning meteorologist. She enjoyed volunteering at the local animal shelter, adopting her second rescue dog, and hosting the annual Pet Fashion Show during her time in Medford. She moved to even newscasts, where she was named the dual “Most Famous TV Personality of Southern Oregon.”
She was excited to return home to San Diego after four years away, forecasting a wide variety of weather from thunderstorms to tornadoes and snowstorms.
