PORTLAND, Ore. — Two weeks and two days after being sidelined by a knee strain, guard Terry Rozier was cleared to return by the Miami Heat for Tuesday night’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers at Moda Center.
The Heat, however, remained without guard Tyler Herro, who hyperextended his left knee Friday night against the New Orleans Pelicans at the start of this four-game trip and then missed Monday night’s victory over the Sacramento Kings.
In addition to getting Rozier back, again available were forwards Jimmy Butler and Nikola Jovic, who both had been suspended from Monday game by the NBA for their roles in Friday’s melee against the Pelicans.
Still serving his three-game suspension from that melee is backup center Thomas Bryant, who also will miss Thursday night’s game against the Denver Nuggets at the close of this trip.
Remaining sidelined by ailments for the Heat are Josh Richardson (shoulder), Orlando Robinson (back) and Dru Smith (knee).
Sent to the G League following Monday’s victory were forwards Jamal Cain and Cold Swider, who both are on two-way contracts.
