Michael Fassbender Was Kicked Out Of A Party For Smoking

There are few celebrities who do not hesitate to admit that they smoke cigarettes.

One such actor is Michael Fassbender. He is a well-known Irish actor who has received a number of honors, including nominations for two Academy Awards, four BAFTA Awards, and three Golden Globe Awards.

He is also one of the critically acclaimed actors who has made it to the list of Ireland’s greatest film actors. Since the beginning of his career, Fassbender has been smoking cigarettes.

He has not hesitated to show his smoking behavior — be it while giving interviews or while enjoying after parties. In fact, because of his smoking, he was kicked out of his own movie’s after-party back in 2012.

Michael Fassbender was kicked out for smoking

As said before, Fassbender does not shy away from smoking. In fact, he rolls his own cigarettes.

While sitting down with Elle in 2015, Fassbender asked the writer, Holly Millae, if she would want a smoke. The writer wrote, “Outside in the cool air, Fassbender produces a tobacco pouch and hand-rolls a cigarette with the speed and skill of a truant, licking the seal, offering it up.”

It looks like the actor has had a habit of having a smoke quite often. In 2012, he was kicked out of his own movie’s after-party.

Fassbender was asked to leave the London after-party for his own film, A Dangerous Method, after smoking a cigarette indoors. According to The Sun (via Page Six), Fassbender was acting inappropriately during a party following his film’s UK premiere, which was held at London’s Mayfair restaurant.

According to the publication, Fassbender’s co-stars, Keira Knightley and Viggo Mortensen, looked uneasy about his behavior. During the evening, photos show Fassbender boisterously playing the piano and giggling excessively.

Another shows him switching the camera off and placing his hand over the lens of another photographer’s camera. Other photos reveal Fassbender beaming broadly while dancing with a hesitant Mortensen, while another shot shows a friend piggybacking Fassbender.

However, it was him lighting a smoke that broke the camel’s back.

“Michael was politely asked to leave. He was in good spirits but it was becoming a bit of a handful for the other guests,” a source told the tabloid. “He was grabbing his co-stars and waltzing around the room with them. He lit a cigarette indoors and that was the point it had gone too far.”

Fassbender made no statements regarding his smoking and getting kicked out of the party.
