ENLACE's mission is to provide newcomers with the academic and linguistic foundation and socio-emotional supports that will allow them to transition successfully and quickly into the mainstream high school environment, on track to pursue a college or career of their choice. The Visual Arts program at ENLACE is mostly on creating art using mixed media in order to welcome a wider range of skills learned from their country of origin. Also , the creative process give students the chance they need to practice common descriptive language skills. In order to make the mixed media projects a window to explore technology , Mr. Vargas has envisioned that having the option of an airbrush station and a 3D printer will make the art classroom experience more attractive for those students at risk .
