One hospitalized after possible road rage shooting in Hollywood

One person was hospitalized after a possible road rage shooting in Hollywood, authorities said.

About 12:30 p.m. on Friday officers were called to the 2100 block of Sheridan Street regarding a shooting, Hollywood police said.

One person was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital with what police termed non-life threatening injuries. Police haven’t released the name of the injured person.

According to WSVN-Ch. 7, there were three bullet holes in the passenger side back window of a BMW sedan involved in the shooting. The bullet holes came from a driver who told WSVN he saw the BMW driving recklessly and spoke to the BMW driver when they got to a traffic light.

“I let the window down, and I’m like, ‘Hey, you almost caused an accident,’ and the guy pulled out a gun,” Brandon Curry told WSVN.

“So I opened fire, and I struck him twice,” he said.

Curry told the TV station he has a concealed weapon permit.

Hollywood police said everyone involved was detained, and they’re continuing to investigate.
