An Overwatch bug is preventing players from seeing the spoils from their loot boxes.
In footage of the bug posted to the Overwatch subreddit by u/Xcaer on Thursday, the loot box explodes open as usual, but its usual whip tilt up to follow the new cosmetics shows nothing but empty space. All four cosmetics are completely invisible, with nothing but their pedestals appearing stacked in the center of the screen.
Players in the comments report being able to click on where the cosmetics should be, allowing them to see the reward's name even as the reward itself remains invisible.
The cosmetics also make their way to the Hero Gallery, so players still receive their rewards even if those rewards appear invisible at first. Once in the Hero Gallery, the cosmetics appear as normal.
Although some players suspect loading problems are to blame, preventing the proper images and sounds from appearing, the true cause of the bug remains unconfirmed.
