Penguins' Mike Sullivan becomes franchise leader in games coached

Pittsburgh (WJAC) — Pittsburgh Penguins head coach Mike Sullivan became the franchise's leader in games coached Tuesday night.

Sullivan surpassed Eddie Johnston after coaching his 517th game as a member of the Penguins.

Last season, Sullivan became the team's all-time winningest coach in the playoffs.

And in August, Sullivan and the Penguins agreed to a three-year contract extension.

Sullivan will coach game #518 Wednesday night as the Penguins take on the Buffalo Sabres.

Puck drop is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
