A possible gas leak in the cafeteria at Margate Middle School prompted Margate police and fire department officials to investigate the situation Wednesday morning, authorities said.
The situation was resolved roughly two hours later later as the school was deemed “safe and clear.”
Students and staff are safe, according to a tweet from the City of Margate.
Margate Middle School is located at 500 NW 65th Avenue near NW 5th Street.
