ROX Tigers are changing their name to Hanwha Life Esports after being acquired by Hanwha Life, the LCK team announced on Facebook Sunday.
Hanwha Life, who has been the official sponsor of ROX Tigers starting with the LCK Spring Split, will now be managing the team starting in the Summer Split.
In the Facebook post, ROX Tigers stated, "The sacrifice and attitude that the members of Hanwha Life have shown during the requisition process have instilled great confidence in us that the newfound Hanwha Life Esports(HLE) will take root as a new paradigm in the eSports scene."
ROX Tigers renewed contracts for the team in December and had a middle of the road showing in the LCK Spring Split. The team ended the regular season with a 6-6 record and a 6th place finish, missing out on making it to the pl ayoffs this year.
