Patricia Acra, Somerset Academy freshman: Won district title; finished 8-2 at No. 1 singles and doubles this season; reached state finals; said being captain and meeting everyone was a career highlight.

Angela Duan, American Heritage sophomore: No. 1 singles and doubles player for the Patriots was district runner-up and fell in the semifinals at regionals; named team MVP; said winning against American Heritage-Delray was the season highlight.

Chloe Fouhety, St. Thomas Aquinas freshman: Captured district, regional, and state titles at No. 1 singles; teamed with Sasha Cartegena to reach the overall doubles final; talented freshman also reached the overall singles final.

Michaela Landry, Pine Crest senior: Team captain and Colby College commit finished 10-4 at No. 1 singles and 11-1 at No. 1 doubles; career highlight was becoming the first doubles team to win individual doubles at the school.

Laila Kamil Wassef, Cypress Bay sophomore: Finished year at 12-3 at No. 1 singles and 3-1 at No. 1 doubles; reached state semifinals after winning first round match being down a set; happy with the support she received from the team.

DOUBLES
Michaela Landry/Natasha Jerkunica, Pine Crest, senior/eighth grader: The duo finished the season undefeated and won the Class 2A overall state doubles championship.

Chloe Fouhety/Sasha Cartegena, St. Thomas Aquinas, freshman/senior: The duo finished the regular season undefeated and reached the Class 3A overall state doubles final.

Carol DeOpsomer, St. Thomas Aquinas: Led the Raiders to a second consecutive undefeated season and Class 3A  state championship. They showed great sportsmanship throughout the year and the entire team worked really hard to win each match. They are not only teammates, but they are friends and that makes me very happy as their coach.”
