My Project

Social and emotional learning is a large part of helping our students learn the skills they need to be successful humans. Part of that is having a "calming corner" ready for students who need to regulate their emotions.

By adding bean bag chairs to our classroom "calming corner", students would have a designated and comfortable place to sit.

Beanbags provide a comfortable seat for students to feel not only safe, but also secure and supported while they focus on getting themselves ready to learn again. Additional beanbags will be placed strategically around the room to allow for multiple students to have safe places to go to when more than one student needs a safe space to work through big emotions.
