Two new Publix Super Markets opening in South Florida

Two new Publix Super Markets are opening in South Florida this month.

A new store opens Thursday in Boca Raton and a second opens Dec. 12 in West Palm Beach, according to news releases.

The expansive 50,000-square-foot store in Boca Raton, at 1968 NE 5th Ave., throws open its doors at 7 a.m. Thursday. A store originally opened in 1961.

It will carry an expanded selection of organic and ethnic food, as well as expanded offerings of prepared foods including Chef Selections, wok creations, specialty cheeses and wines.

The new Palm Beach store, at 500 Belvedere Road, first opened in 1987. It will also carry expanded organic and natural foods and expanded prepare offerings.

Both stores will give away free customized insulated resalable bags to the first 1,500 customers at opening celebrations.

Also, customers can win a $100 gift card in a raffle held daily on the first week. Other promotions planned include visits by the Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders, alumni and fins Force Fan Experience, say releases.
