VIDEO: dinoflask Creates Hilarious Homage to Jeff Kaplan

YouTube user dinoflask posted a video commemorating Overwatch Game Director Jeff Kaplan's 15-year anniversary working for Blizzard Entertainment.

Dinoflask is notorious for these edits of Kaplan's developer updates, and his best-known video is the rap edit entitled, "You Reposted in the Wrong Developer Update."

Although he started out on YouTube with a couple of Rocket League videos, dinoflask doesn't appear to mind being known as the Kaplan video editor, with his Twitter biography reading simply, "I make a grown man say funny things."

Dinoflask was actually flown out to Blizzard's headquarters in order to meet with Blizzard employees, including Kaplan.

Apparently dinoflask didn't leave empty-handed, as he later tweeted, "Stay tuned for a giveaway of some cool Overwatch related stuff, signed by Mr. Jeff himself."

It's safe to say Blizzard stays highly involved with their fans and community.

The Kaplanniversary video contains many obscure jokes and references, which dinoflask was kind enough to explain in the YouTube description. Kaplan himself admits that the Green Hills of Stranglehorn quest in World of Warcraft was the worst quest he ever produced.

Additionally, the WoW voice chat was acknowledged by Blizzard as poorly-implemented, and Kaplan and fellow employee Matt Hawley were largely responsible for its development.

The videos are cleverly put together by copying and pasting together various Kaplan phrases. Transcribing isn't an issue as according to dinoflask on Reddit, "I play the dev updates at 0.75 speed and can just about type as fast as [Kaplan] talks."

Overwatch fans and Blizzard employees alike look forward to the next video.
