Most valuables, from pocket watches to belt buckles, must be taken to a fence to sell. Considering most of those valuables are found while pilfering the corpses you leave behind, taking them to a dedicated buyer of illegal goods makes a certain amount of sense.

The first fence players will likely come across resides at Emerald Ranch, which can be found by following the railroad east out of Valentine, or just south of the Heartland Overflow. Players

Continuing east across the Kamassa River and straight through to the coast will bring players to another fence, this one stationed at the Van Horn Trading Post. The fence himself can be found along the post's dock.
Heading south along the railroad will bring players to a third fence in the city of Saint Denis, and following the rail further east will take them to a fourth in Rhodes. The game's final fence resides at Clemens Point and allows players to offload stolen horses, but isn't accessible until they complete the Chapter 3 mission "Horse Flesh for Dinner."
