Will NBA 2K21 have crossplay? This is a question that comes up every time a new NBA 2K is about to release, and for good reason. Other games have embraced crossplay, while previous titles of 2K have made no effort to keep up with the times. Fortnite broke the barrier of crossplay a few years ago, with other franchises following suit.
With NBA 2K21's release right around the corner, fans hope the next entry changes the tide.
Happy birthday Kobe—a legend who gave us joy, left us in awe, and above all inspired us to be the best we can be.

Will NBA 2K21 Have Crossplay?
NBA 2K21 hasn't been confirmed to have a cross platform play feature, meaning it is unlikely that the title will have it this year. Fans have been asking for it for a long, long time, and sadly the fan base will continue to have to wait.
As far as cross-generation play, like PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5, the only content that will transfer is MyTeam progression and your VC coins. The rest of your 2K data will not transfer over, meaning that if you are planning on playing the game on both generations, expect to r start your progress on your next-gen console of your choosing.
NBA 2K21 releases on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Google Stadia, and PC on Sept. 4.
