- Yamiche’s parents were both immigrants from Haiti. She was born in Miami.
- Yamiche is married to Nathaniel Cline. She married the Cleveland (dot) com sports reporter in March 2018.
- Nathaniel and Yamiche celebrated the birth of their son, Yrie Myles Alcindor Cline, on May 30, 2023. Yrie, pronounced “i-ree,” shares his name with the Jamaican saying “Irie,” signifying good vibes and well-being. Yrie weighed 5 pounds, 1 ounce, and measured 18 inches, at birth.
- The couple had a challenging journey to parenthood. Yamiche went through her struggles with infertility, including a four-year pursuit of motherhood through IVF. Despite the emotional rollercoaster, the couple’s hearts are now full with happiness and love.

- Yamiche attended Georgetown University where she graduated with a BA in English and Government. She also has a minor in African-American studies.

- In 2015, Yamiche started off with The New York Times as a national political reporter, covering Congress, the 2016 US Presidential election and social issues affecting political discourse. She also covered both Donald Trump’s and Bernie Sanders’ Presidential campaigns.
- At the beginning of 2018, Yamiche began work for the PBS NewsHour as White House Correspondent, reporting on events at the White House and the administration in general.
